Lake Guarda
So the other day we took a day trip to Lake Guarda. Lake Guarda is about an hour from here by bus and is right next to Lake Como which is where George Clooney has a house. Regrettably, he was not out and about while we were there, but we had a great time none-the-less. The towns were really little and fun to walk through. It was a beautiful day to just wander around aimlessly. We went up to the Castle and explored a little bit and then walked up a few really steep stair cases to the top of the Castle where there was a gorgeous view of the town. Lake Guarda is ringed in mountains and is absolutely spectacular. The lake itself is deeper than the Adriatic Sea and is so wide that at most parts you cant see to the other side. We didn't do anything special, but it was a great way to spend the day outside. We got some Gelato with Dr. Legge, our Nazi History professor and soaked up some sun. I would love to go back to Lake Guarda during the summer and explore some of the other towns. We were only there for a few hours so we really didn't get the chance delve into the history or culture, but it seemed like a wonderful and relaxing place to live. =)
